• Drogheda Utd with the first KickitforFarren penalty challenge
  • Kick it for Farren

PFA Ireland has asked the players in the Airtricity League to join its fundraising campaign for Mark Farren, the former Derry City forward, who needs urgent treatment in his battle with cancer. The campaign will feature the tagline of #KickitforFarren

After training over the next few days, we have asked every professional player to take a penalty kick in the ‘Kick it for Farren’ campaign. Club delegates have been contacted and are backing the fundraising campaign.

For each player who participates PFA Ireland will donate €10 to the fund

    - If the player scores he will not pay towards the campaign (but if he wishes to donate anyway
    that’s ok!)
    - If the player has his penalty kick saved the player will donate €20 to the fund
    - If the player misses the target he will donate €10 to the fund.

The aim is to raise €5,000 with up to 300 players taking part.
