Action from the Airtricity League and the Setanta Sports Cup took place between Monday 19 April and Saturday 24 April.
Bohemians booked their place in the Setanta Sports Cup final following a 1-0 win over Linfield at Windsor Park. Bohs will meet St Patrick's Athletic in the final on Saturday 15 May 2010.
A wonder strike from David McAllister put St Pat's back on top of the premier division with a 1-0 win as they inflicted the first league defeat on Sligo Rovers; Bohemians recorded a third consecutive league defeat as Dundalk beat the champions at Oriel Park, player/assistant manager Wayne Hastwell scored the only goal of the game and two goals from Anto Flood helped Galway United to a 3-1 success over Drogheda United at Terryland Park.
In the first division Waterford United returned to winning ways with a 2-0 win over Finn Harps, Brian Gartland scored three minutes into injury time to record victory over Cork City Foras Co-op at Turner's Cross and Shelbourne suffered their first defeat of the campaign as they lost 1-0 to Derry at the Brandywell.
