There was a packed programme over the Bank Holiday period in both divisions in the Airtricity League. In the Premier Division Dundalk return to the top of the table following victory over Drogheda United in the Louth derby on Friday and followed up with another success against Shamrock Rovers at Oriel Park on Monday. In the First Division Derry City move to the top of the table after a 7-0 triumph over Salthill Devon and a 2-0 win over local rivals Finn Harps, while Waterford United suffered a 2-1 defeat in Longford and were held to a scoreless draw at home to Athlone Town.
