The PFAI presented the DDSL with the new PFAI Under-17 Premier Cup.  Stephen McGuinness, PFAI General Secretary, handed over the trophy to the DDSL at the National Sports Campus in Abbotstown.

Also present were Bohemians defender Brian Shelley and St Patrick's Athletic's midfielder Stuart Byrne. Both players played their entire underage football in the DDSL - Shelley with Cherry Orchard and Byrne with Home Farm.

McGuinness said "We're delighted to present this trohpy to the DDSL.  Its our aim to advise young lads coming out of schoolboy football into the League of Ireland because of well documented financial strife in the domestic game, League of Ireland clubs will be relying on younger players a lot more now and it's vital that they're tuned into their rights in relation to contracts.
